The Vita uses a proprietary Flash memory card called "The PlayStation Vita Card." While they are very similar in form to SD cards, the Vita can only run the Sony branded cards… The Vita does not have an internal SSD to support downloaded content, so anything downloaded must be stored on a Vita Card.

Vita games needs to be run off ux0, it doesn't matter if it the sonly memory card or the SD2Vita, but run it off the one with a larger capacity storage, for like PS TV you can mount a HDD. You can use the 64GB for emulation/ PSP game etc. deSSy2724 likes this. #14 Sep 5, 2018.

Anyway, what a mess. Slow clap for Sony for allowing the Vita to start a download that it doesn't have the space to save in the first place. TL;DR Always make sure you have > 50Mb free or your Vita will be borked.
